I received great service from this store and bought a wonderful bear which I am delighted with. I visited Stonegate teddy bears store in York in January and loved the amount of teddies, bunnies, jelly cats of all shapes, sizes and colours there were everywhere I looked. The shop has such character, a wonderful unusual building very typically York in its unique character and full of so many different bears more than I have ever seen in one place. When I returned home I looked on the store's website and found a beautiful bear with the name of my best friend Dominique. I noticed it was the last one in the shop and due to work and my home location I couldn't get back to the shop and was concerned it would sell out. I emailed the shop to check it was still available and asked if it would be at all possible to send the bear straightaway to me as I had a day off work the following day and could receive it at my house only on that one day. My email was answered rapidly and everything was done as I had asked and hoped for and my beautiful bear arrived the very next morning. I liked the ease of ordering on the website and I will definitely be visiting this shop again in person when next in York as its great to look at all the bears and enjoy the wonderful service. I highly recommend it.

I called in this lovely teddy bear shop on a day trip to York and bought Charlie Mo and also fell in love with a Mohair Charlie bear dog called Muggleswick but resisted buy him. I thought about him for a few days and couldn't get him out of my mind so I emailed the shop to see if he was still available but sadly he was sold but luckily the owner said that another one was being delivered the next day and that she would send a photo of him which she did and of course I had to have. I ordered him over the phone at about 4 pm and he arrived safely and well packed at 2 pm the following day. Thank you Stonegate bears for your excellent service. What great s

This place is really wonderful, the owner of the store made a point to say how nice me and my fiance seemed since we had been there the year before, and had a little chat with us. In terms of the complaints of the store being too small, I completely disagree with it being an issue as the store is in York in which part of the enjoyment is walking around misshapen old and small buildings. The shop has character due to the small interior. There are also more than just jellycats and other big brands but a nice collection of specialty ones too.
